Just about a week shy of one year since Shup v0.26, I have finally gotten off my butt and fixed some of the problems people were reporting. The big recurring problem for a lot of people involved corrupted custom uploader profiles, but other things like image editor crash bugs were fixed too.
The main feature added in this release is copy/paste functionality in the image editor. You can copy selected areas using the marquee tool and paste them back into the image or an external program, or you can paste images from external programs into Shup (provided the canvas is large enough). This feature is in its infancy and will likely require some changes to how the image editor window acts before it becomes truly useful.
Aside from that, Lorde Cryptomail graced Cosmic Shovel HQ with his presence/presents a while back and dropped a code bomb! Upload speed and % completed stats are back on the upload progress meter, woot! It even matches your Shup theme ;]

Today my friend Brennan launched version 1.0 of his game service, wifight! It is awesome: you can play games like Chess, Checkers, Reversi, and more; it has community chat; you can play lots of games at once and take turns whenever you want; and it’s free to join!
Go check out wifight! It runs on Windows and PalmOS. You can challenge me to a game under the nickname L1quid.

I launched a site called camelegg.com. Check it out if you shop at Newegg.com, you’ll find price history charts and all the usual camel functionality you know and love.
And of course we still have product trackers for Amazon.com, Backcountry.com, Best Buy, and Overstock.com.

Uploading warez (movies, apps, games, etc) is a thing that will get Stashbox shut down. It’s not even so much the illegality of the files themselves as it is the abuse of our bandwidth, which is very generously donated to us by Cockos.
If you would like Stashbox to not exist, please continue abusing this free service.

A nice review of Shup, our multi-host file uploader and screenshot tool, can be found here. Time to release a new version…
And a bit of news from the Friends of Stashbox - Brennan just released the first public build of Videotile, a video player with an interesting twist. Can you guess what it is?

Hey all, this week we’re buying 16GB of ram with which to replace the 4GB currently in our server. Hopefully this improves server responsiveness for everyone.
I’ll post again before I take the server down for installation.
